Using the Integration
How It Works
Once connected, Tectra's AI Teammate enhances your Zoom meetings by:
- Capturing Key Information: Listens for decisions, action items, and important discussion points during your meetings

- Sending Follow-ups: Distributes meeting notes and action items to participants
- Updating Platforms: Syncs information with your integrated tools like Gmail, Notion, Asana, and Confluence
During Your Meeting
When you join a Zoom meeting:
- Tectra's AI Teammate automatically joins as a participant
- The AI processes conversations in real-time (no recording stored)
- Key points, decisions, and action items are identified
- After the meeting, you'll receive automated summaries and task assignments
Meeting Management
Access all your meeting data from the Meetings dashboard where you can:
- View past meeting summaries
- Review extracted action items
- Edit or reassign tasks
- Export meeting notes to integrated platforms
Removing the App
Disconnecting Your Account
To remove Tectra's AI Teammate from your Zoom account:
Navigate to Profiles
Go to the Meetings Profiles tab.
Disconnect Account
Click the "DISCONNECT" button on your profile.
Confirmation
Your Zoom account is now disconnected from Tectra.
Data Removal
Important: When you disconnect your Zoom account, all data gathered from Zoom during the authorization process is permanently deleted from our database. This includes:
- OAuth tokens and credentials
- Meeting metadata
- Any cached user information
Complete App Removal
Security Best Practice: When you disconnect Zoom through Tectra, we immediately revoke our access tokens and delete all your Zoom-related data from our systems. However, following OAuth 2.0 security best practices, we do not automatically uninstall the app from your Zoom account. This two-step approach ensures:
- Data Protection: Your data is immediately removed from Tectra's systems
- User Control: You maintain full control over app permissions in your Zoom account
- Security Compliance: We follow industry standards for OAuth app management
- Audit Trail: Zoom maintains a record of authorized apps for your security review
To completely remove the Tectra app from your Zoom account:
Disconnect from Tectra First
Follow the disconnection steps above to revoke tokens and remove your data from Tectra.
Go to Zoom App Marketplace
Visit your Zoom App Marketplace and sign in to your account.
Navigate to Manage
Click on "Manage" → "Installed Apps" or go directly to your installed apps.
Uninstall Tectra
Find "Tectra AI Teammate" in your installed apps list and click "Uninstall".
Confirm Removal
The app is now completely removed from both Tectra and your Zoom account.
After Removal
Once disconnected:
- Tectra's AI Teammate will no longer join your Zoom meetings
- Existing meeting summaries in your Tectra account remain accessible
- You can re-authorize at any time to restore functionality
- No new meeting data will be processed until re-authorization
Note: If the Tectra app is removed directly from your Zoom account settings (rather than through Tectra), Tectra will be unable to join your Zoom meetings. To restore functionality, you'll need to re-authorize the connection through the Meetings Profiles tab.
Troubleshooting
Authorization Issues
If you encounter problems during authorization:
- Ensure you're logged into the correct Zoom account
- Check that you have a paid Tectra subscription
- Try clearing your browser cache and cookies
- Use a supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
Meeting Join Issues
If the AI Teammate doesn't join your meeting:
- Verify your Zoom account is properly connected in the Profiles tab
- Ensure the meeting is scheduled (not an instant meeting)
- Check that your Tectra subscription is active
- Verify the meeting link is correct - incorrect or invalid meeting URLs will prevent the AI Teammate from joining
- Try re-authorizing your Zoom account
